Going Somewhere?

If you are planning on canceling your berth agreement with Grand Marina, please remember you must give 30 days advance written notice. You may simply send us and email or come up to the office.
If you are selling your boat, there is no guarantee that the new owner may keep the slip. Transfer of the berth is not automatic, and the new owner must apply and be approved. Give us a call if you plan to leave the marina or sell your boat, and we will be happy to explain our policy or give you the best advice on how to proceed.

Wildlife Protection

From March to September every year, many birds nest on Alcatraz Island, including Black Oyster-catchers, Brandt’s Cormorants, Pigeon Guillemots, and Western Gulls. Local wild life officials ask that boaters please stay 100 yards offshore from the island. People, boats too close, loud noise and night lighting may cause seabirds to abandon their nests. The sea-birds roost on the southern, western and northern sides of Alcatraz year round.

Keep Your Keys to Yourself

We would like to ask that our berthers not loan gate keys out to people working on their boats. This is for your safety and the safety of your fellow berthers. The Harbor Office is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Saturday. Boat workers should obtain dock keys directly from the office.

Parking Reminder

Opening day can be one of the busiest days at Grand Marina. While there are usually sufficient spaces available, there are times when many boat owners arrive with friends and family for a day on the water. When several cars arrive for each boat, our parking lot can quickly fill up. We kindly ask that you please be considerate of others and of Mother Earth, by carpooling whenever possible. If your group cannot all ride together, consider meeting nearby, such as along Grand Street, and bringing only one or two vehicles into the marina. The public boat ramp parking lot at the end of Grand Street is also available for public parking.

Marina Courtesy & Community Reminder

As the weather improves and more people head out on the water, we’d like to remind everyone of a few simple courtesies that help keep the marina safe, clean, and enjoyable for all.
Please remember to keep docks clear of unnecessary items, properly secure your vessel and dock lines, and dispose of trash in the appropriate receptacles. If you bring guests, take a moment to share marina rules and safety practices with them so everyone can have a safe and pleasant visit. Being mindful of noise levels, parking considerately, and looking out for one another’s vessels all help maintain the welcoming atmosphere that makes Grand Marina special. Thank you for doing your part to keep our marina a Grand place to boat!
