Grand Marina Alameda San Francisco Bay

Harbormaster's Corner

Wow. After years of waiting, who would have thought so much could get done so quickly? The Grand Marina Village project has hit the ground running. The construction schedule calls for the two models to be finished on the exterior in the first week of January. They are scheduled to be open for viewing the first week of March. Meanwhile, the street improvements on Grand Street and Fortmann Way will be mostly completed shortly after you read this. Final paving, striping and signage will appear around the end of February. Yay! No more fence in the road! We haven’t seen the last of it, though. Around the middle of December the fence in the parking lot will be moved further in. We will only have parallel parking along the fence while the new curb, gutter and sidewalk is installed. Please keep an eye open for notices regarding this as we will have to have all the vehicles removed from this area when that day comes. When that’s done, our parking will be restored and the fence will be out of the lot for good. ( Please drive cautiously; there are a lot of people walking around and working in the parking lot.

Merry Christmas, everyone. Please have a happy and safe holiday!

Andy
